Understanding and developing the fundamentals of volunteering

The 3×3 of Volunteering offers a structured introduction to working with volunteers (honorary/committed individuals). The course is aimed at full-time and volunteer coordinator who are new to this field or who want to reflect on and develop their existing practice and gain new inspiration. It is also aimed at anyone who is interested in the topic and is considering working in this field in the future.

Contents and schedule

The focus is on the central principles of voluntary work – from terms and definitions to the question of what constitutes a commitment-friendly place of work. In addition, the course offers space for assessing the status of your own organisation: What structures are already in place? Where is there potential for development and what challenges exist?

Three topics will be covered in three hours on each of the three days. Expert input and practical examples will be supplemented by discussions in small groups. This will allow participants to share their own experiences, learn from each other and develop new perspectives for working with volunteers.
